THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY.......

The Good......... Newman ran a great race all night long. Newmlin (Newman and Hamlin) worked well together yet again driving to the front almost at will. Ryan led the most laps for his 2nd strait Daytona race.

The Bad.......... Ryan's luck at these plate races

The Ugly......... Once again getting caught up in a multicar last lap wreck that was not of his making.

I swear if these races were 5 miles shorter Ryan would be the all time win leader lol

I think to add to the ugly, is they threw a caution (the original one) after everyone (Gordon) was going straight & track clear. Yet a few races ago there was an actual wreck on the track & they didnt throw the caution. Why throw one now?

Ryan's bad luck at these restrictor plate tracks is just astonishing. At the last restart he was positioned so well until he & Denny got separated by cars on both sides of them and they started to fall back into the pack where Ryan got swept up in the wreck.

It looked like he was going to get a better finish than Tony and it ended up the other way around.

So disappointing.

Ryan should have stayed in one of the "lanes" or the other. Instead he's in the middle with two freight trains passing him. Did he take his foot off the gas or did Denny stop pushing?

I think the air turbulence from the other cars pulled them apart. I don't think Denny stopped pushing on purpose.

Absolutely true. They couldn't block both inside and outside.

Besides, we now know Tony doesn't like to BE blocked, so it stands to reason that he is not going to block anyone else.
