PRE DAYTONA RACE

Ok, I'm over this last race. Nothing new if you're a Newman fan!

Toss a coin on this coming Saturday night's race! It all depends if Newman can find a draft partner and will he be there at the end of the race?

Practices will be this coming Thursday at 4-6:30PM with quals Friday at 4PM! Race is 7:30PM Saturday night.

Really not much else you can say about these type of races.

Saw Tony Gibson and Ryan on Race Hub tonight. Ryan was playing soldier again over in Indiana. I did it for real back in 1979-1982. I think EVERYONE should do at least 2 years in an Armed Forces of their choice. You will have a total new outlook on freedom and life after that trust me!

I'm off Monday only because it's my scheduled day off. Happy fourth to all!

thanks for posting the images, but they could have been more creative in the scheme, like i said before, if it was tony's car the would have went all out and made some neat..

It's hard to get fired up not knowing just how many ways Newman may or may not end up at this track! His past hasn't been all that entertaining.........

Newman's old #12 has some memorable paints schemes. My favorite was this one. They used a lot of fine "metal flake" in the paint! Nothing fancy but the die cast I have of it looks great!

I think my favorite paint scheme Ryan has ran was a fan designed Kodak car. It was black but all sorts of colors streaked through.

I think the paint scheme looks great.
it's not too crazy, it's simple, and it's paid for from outside sources

the only touch-up I would do is get rid of the green ethanol decal

If I was going down memory lane in thinking of all of Ryan's old #12 paints schemes. He had a LOT of pretty nice looking cars in his career with Penske!

what I think is Ryan needs to go over & talk to Denny about hooking up at Daytona. They were the duo to beat before they got wrecked. Denny is a good pusher (allowing Ryan to lead the most laps ) & they work very well together as dance partners. Also Dennys Toyota was able to not have to change places very often allowing them to not get back in the danger zone.

the best one for me was the black and silver one he ran at WG, with the big A on the hood, but i was glad they made the switch to carolina blue the last couple years,

While we are talking about fav paint schemes this is my fav Ryan Newman paint scheme.......



I love the colors, the blue looks so awesome w/ the metallic silver, it's a shame the engine blew when he ran this car at Fontana

Yes they were pretty good last race there.

The Fords with there F9 engines are able to run hotter with there improved cooling. Therefore they would be able to produce a little more power under a high heat condition. They should be ideal for pushing!

The thing is. Who won't get wrecked out and be there at the end of the race?
