PRE MICHIGAN NASCAR RACE

You would think this type of track that Newman would "tear it up!" He use to back in his Penske days but folks, so far so bad with S/H!

Big wide track plenty of racing room....fast...that's what Newman is all about. But his new team has failed miserably at obtaining a race car balance of any use what so ever since 2009. From now on out. My stats will mainly be from 2009 till current. Why? Why bring up the past beyond Newman's new team because those cars were totally different and there were many different Nascar rules in place. Tires have changed as well.

What I as a fan am looking for is substantial racing improvement in Team #39. Can this race team finish better than the stats show? Will Matt Borland be able to unlock the balance mystery that has puzzled Team #39 and Tony Gibson since 2009?

Here's your stats for Michigan from 2009 to current: Avg Start.-12.5/Avg Finish-23.25(super bad)/1-top 20(Yikes)/Best Finish-15TH. You can only go up from those stats folks!

What has me excited is just the fact something has been improved at S/H. You folks may not know all that much about Matt Borland but I'm very aware of his talent. He's "the real deal" folks! I only wish he was the Crew Chief and let Tony Gibson take over as the team cook. He surely can balance a hamburger or hot dog I would assume?

My hats off to Team #39's pit crew this week. Great job last week guys!

Oh, I see your point... I don't disagree with you. Ryan deserves better. I'm hoping that Matt can turn the #39 team around in his new position.

im thinking its time to move on, this up and down stuff is getting old, partial sponsors while tony gets these big names sponsors, is crap, go to red bull at least there ya know u have a owner who spends money..............

Yep, looks like they are lost as usual as to how to setup the cars. Doubt I watch this race live. I will DVR so I can fast forward through most of the embarassment of watching the 39 and 14 run mid to back of pack. If either of the two cars get fixed, I guarantee you it will be the 14 vs. the 39. Grubb seems to be able to balance or make a car better more times than not. If the 39 car isn't right before the race, it won't get right.

one thing that frustrated me as a race fan was 1995, i started out a kenny schrader fan, and that year, his car would always blow up, or some extreme set up he would crash because the car was too loose, but his team mates, gordon and labonte had career yrs, in fact jeff won the cup and terry carried it to win the cup the next yr. it was even bein said that the 25 car was doing alot of RnD for HMS, if that even happened to ryan i hope he would get up and leave, but keeping gibson around, SHR is settling for a sub-par performance

I'm sure in qual trim. Newman may be mid pack at best?

I always have to DVR all races before 4:00PM. In most cases, I'm better off!

Ryan was on Trackside last night. They asked him why he has been so bad at Michigan? He had to tow the company line in his reply. Let's face it. His team can't do the job at that track!

I guess Newman's only chance is being the last car standing at Michigan.....geez!

Newman might of been a great selection for Jack Roush back when the rumor was floating around. Can you see him in those NOW good looking Fords?

this race will make me more nervous than most since these are the tracks the CC struggles. Here is to hoping Gibson can turn the corner today. With Gordon & Denny both heading to the top ten, Ryan cant afford any mid pack finishes right now. Especially since he has zero wins right now.
