POST POCONO IF YOU DARE!

It was nice seeing Ryan going forward instead of backwards.

His pit stops seemed to be a little improved. :D

Hearing Newman actually being happy with his car was a sign of good things to come. 8-)

I was thinking ,"Here we go again" when Matt announced to Ryan's team about the 3RD gear transmission problem. Then not much longer after that TNT shows smoke coming out the back of Ryan's car.............hold breath...........car ok! :D

Newman finishes 9TH and the band played on! :D

I have to work each and every Sunday till 4:00PM EST so I had to record this race. Had to fast forward through most of it. Was wanting to watch my Cincinnati Reds play at 8:00PM! :D

I know it's early but maybe Matt will have a true effect on both S/H teams? He's a pretty sharp guy I can tell you! ;)

Most of you have already posted your responses to this race but if you care to repeat. Now's your chance! :D

Re: POST POCONO IF YOU DARE!

I'm pleased with Ryans finish. We will see if they can keep it up and keep him competitive week in and week out. SHR will have to improve each week and finish very solid to have a shot at staying in the chase. With Gordon having wins and some others that are outside the top 10 right now, it's going to be tough. SHR needs wins to get on up in the standings. The points are tight up until the jump from 8 to 7th. Oh well, one race at a time.

I'm glad Matt is playing the role he is. Time will tell if it's a good move for SHR!

I was at Pocono this weekend and it was good to see Ryan in the top ten most of the day.
It was good to see the pit crew doing well to.

I'm not convinced yet Tony Gibson can get Ryan that perfect balance in order for him to win a race. There's just to many cars that seem so much quicker!

I hope I'm proved wrong but when was the last time that has happened? ;)

I know and I'm not sure why? :?

The track is wide and fairly smooth. This track should be Newman's "play ground." It's the closest track to his home town and his fathers old shop in Niles! He has a lot of family and friends there usually every year plus...... it's fathers day! :D

DOMINATE THIS TRACK RYAN!

basically, the more aero sensitive a track is, the worse Gibson is at figuring it out. (plate tracks excluded whole different animal)

Good observation S-1000.

From what I hear. Tony waists a lot of wind tunnel time testing the wind resistance of Burger King whoppers, french fries and milk shakes? Says he can balance them in his belly nicely!

Sorry, I can't help but pick at Tony. I just hope he and Matt can get some sensible car balances here in the near future. It would make my race days much more enjoyable! 8-)
