PRE KANSAS RACE SUNDAY JUNE 5TH 2011

I have not been a "happy camper" nor should any Ryan Newman fan after a month or so of some seriously very bad racing performances! :x

I will admit. NONE of us know exactly what is going on with S/H unless you have an inside friend who works there. Most modern-day race teams seem to have a 24/7 "gag order" when it comes to the nitty-gritty racing information. You know why that is right? It's the old "never let em see you sweat" theory." Not only that but some of their pay check comes from those sponsors. Those sponsors don't like being embarrassed by supporting a turd race team trust me. No team wants to admit they out right suck....when in fact they do or did! ;) Plus, it's all part of public perception of a certain race team.......you know, all is well. Last week was just a boo boo. Remember that old saying,"You can fool some of the people some of the time but you can't fool all the people all the time.....that would be me!" 8-)

Team #39 needs a lot of fixing in its crew chief department as well in its pit crew and folks at the shop. The "blind squirrel" theory did work last year for ONE race. Ok, that held my attention for a while but what have you done for me lately?

This is all just one mans opinion. You don't have to agree with me. I have to go in one direction or the other to stir up an internet conversation. I will never claim to be the Nascar all-knowing all-seeing but I'm very seldom ever wrong!

Kansas numbers look like this: 1-win/3-top 5's/4-top 10's/5-top 20's/0-poles.......Avg. Start 15.7/Avg Finish 17.50 with 2-DNF's out of Newman 's 47 on record.

This race could be best described as and old "spaghetti western" starring Clint Eastwood........we could see "The Good The Bad and The Ugly". I'm hoping we see a lot of good! :D

Re: PRE KANSAS RACE SUNDAY JUNE 5TH 2011

Who knows what we will see! I too hope that both Ryan and Tony can pull out some great finishes and get back on the climb in the points instead of continuing this pititful spiral they are in now. I would have liked to had been a fly on the wall in that meeting Monday. I just wonder what changes, if any, we will see this race?

Wow L39. It's been great not being bashed for speaking my mind for a change. We all seem to be able to get along so far?

With a race team in such disarray. Who knows what we will witness on race day? I know one thing is for sure. If I hear,"We didn't have the finish we wanted today." "We fought back Army strong!"......I'm going ex-spell all my stomach content!

There's no way on this Earth that Tony Stewart will settle for mediocre racing. There's way to much at stake. But, I don't see a quick fix either? That's what bothers me! 8-)

Re: PRE KANSAS RACE SUNDAY JUNE 5TH 2011

KS weather has been a regular pain when we have races. (I've been to every KS race.) Hopefully this weekends race can run without any storm interference...No sirens sounding or lightning strikes in the infield.

Hey Tinker!

My uncle Jim lives in Wichita. He loves it there!

I always did love all those juicy starting position being handed to to old five times due to rain. Newman was generally mid back or worse in points.

Just hope his team can get it going. Time does not wait in Nascar..........

Re: PRE KANSAS RACE SUNDAY JUNE 5TH 2011

I watched Tony Stewart on "Track Side" last night. When asked about his race teams performances. He "danced " around what he would really like to of said. I expected that. You can't help but like Tony. I always have. 8-)

Both cars looked slow in practice. Qals at noon today.

Hope they can find the sweet spot on these cars by the end of the race! I would love to see Team #39 rebound with a bang! :D

Re: PRE KANSAS RACE SUNDAY JUNE 5TH 2011

there is a reason ol 5 time is handed that position when it rains, its called consistency, something as a ryan fan i can say he has lacked most of his career, regardless what anyone thinks of the 48 team, they make the changes if needed, like larry mac said at the beginning of the year "dont hate that the 48 team wins all the time, be mad that your team is not out there making the effort to beat them",
now this yr rousch and childress are making serious efforts to do so.

if no changes are made at SHR continue to see ryan and the season go up and down, they are coming up on a lot of tracks where he has not had much success lately, and id be happy with a top 10 in most...

Re: PRE KANSAS RACE SUNDAY JUNE 5TH 2011

Ryans car must be pitiful again. Can't seem to get out of the mid 20's to 30's on speed. Unacceptable, again! Not looking forward to this race at all. Tony was top 10 in the first practice, then dropped considerably in the second. Of course, not sure what they are working on. But they just do not look fast at all. :?

I guess it's sort of a good thing I can't watch many Nascar races live. I will record this one.

Not seeing any signs of him being fast either? He qualified his old number 12TH!

The talk is bout old deep pockets Roush and his F9 Ford engine. Seems he's possibly surpassing Hendrick in power?(like I said) All you have to do is pay attention on race day you can visibly see it. Gibbs Toyota engine and Childres engines looking a bit better than most of the field.

Oh well L 39. We are going to have to ignore all the reality of what we see and live in a bubble of pretentious make believe to make it through the rest of this racing season!
