Tony and my son at Daytona

Long time Tony fan and that has rubbed off on my son. Had the chance to take my 8 year old son on his first trip to Daytona in combination with my 40th birthday. We went all out, stayed local at a hotel within walking distance, and got the Sprint Fan Zone access. We waited stage side for 2+ hours, difficult to do with an 8 year old but turns out to be so worth it. He ultimately got high 5's from 41 of the drivers, yes he was keeping count. The highlight to this day is that Tony handed my son the Coke he was carrying. This made both of our weekend, not just any driver, but our favorite Tony Stewart. Just wanted to share.

That's cute... That's a great memory. Tony's not the only one that does this sort of thing though. Seems like most of the drivers do things for kids, after all, they're the fans of the future.

That is an awesome sight. And there are people who don't think Tony cares. Oh yes he does but he can't be there 24/7.

Which two drivers didn't give him a high five?

Dale Junior and McMurry. Dale just missed him, my son's hand was to low. McMurry did pat him on the head.

That is such a cool story and memory. One to cherish for all time, even the pat on the head.
