He started 34th & finished 1st & this was the only win for him that year too.

I know he won at Richmond wayyyyyyy back in 1999? It wasn't Sprint Cup, but was the Winston Cup.

In 2007, NASCAR announced it would be Sprint Cup for next year.
Sprint Cup started in 2008.

From 1972 through 2003, NASCAR's premier series was called the Winston Cup Series.

In 2004, the series became known as the NEXTEL Cup Series.

The 2006 merger between Sprint and NEXTEL resulted in the cup series being renamed the Sprint Cup, beginning with the 2008 season.

Tony has won in all three series cup championships. Winston 2002, Nextel 2005 and Sprint 2011. I believe he is the only driver to win all three cups. I've only heard that once as they use the word Sprint for all the back championships. Make 2013 a magic year Tony............
