Whatever Biff, I NEVER said it was true. Follow the leader around here with a couple of you jokers. If it does come true, don't need or want an apology. With my History of jumping on rumors (lol) This won't be the last. (sarcasm here)

it kills me to say this but i agree with mj (is he the leader u speak of peanut?) about her being a cash cow. ive seen her nationwide merch trailer packed with people buying her #### everytime i go to the races. the money she would bring in thru sponsors and marketing would outweigh the money spent on the cars she would crash. i still don't believe it though.

and no need to be so touchy peanut just cause someone disagrees with u. #### if anything i commend u for starting a topic that has a decent discussion going on. put your big boy pants on and deal with it.

I just wish Danica was a better representation of women drivers. I KNOW the guys don't mind...ha.... but she is an embarrassment to me as a woman. She has talent but the way she is marketed, that talent is far in the background and almost unimportant. Kinda sad. BUT, I also understand the power of the marketing dollar.

Great post! Completely agree. I can't wait to support a female driver that represents "womanhood" but Danica's rep is all about the sexuality, and not in a good way, not in a way to be taken seriously.

Thank you both ladies, for putting into words what I think about Danica & NASCAR. I couldn't find the right words, but you both did! I am a guy and I DO mind how she is allowing herself to me "marketed."

I also would happily support a woman in NASCAR... just not Danica for exactly the reasons you pointed out.

Agreed. I think she would be perfect for RPM, or a teammate for the 47 team. Honestly if she went to SHR or any other team top type team, I think she would take away from the teams already there. Maybe Penske, but Penske could do much better.

i made the comment that danica is a cash cow, and she is, she has an incredible marketing team behind her and in this economy that is important, a sponsor isnt gonna drop between 5 mil and 15 mil if they cant get something on their return.
Danica has talent to drive a car, regardless what people think of her, she got off to a nice start in the NW and if she stuck with it, could probably improve on it, jumping back and forth i feel will only hurt her, she is and has some success in a sport that is dominated by men, and she should be commended for it, not looked on it in a negative way, just cuz she is pretty, saying that is a insult to women everywhere that work, so she takes part in those lame go daddy commercials, and she has photos in a swimsuit, but she is in control of that, she gets negative crap for that, and i feel it is unjust. guess what people, like it or not we live in a society where people that have beauty are praised and glorified, doesnt make it right, but thats how it goes, she has been driving since she was a lil girl in go karts, then over in england at the age of 16, if this was a sexy woman just tryin to cash in, i could see people bein outraged, but she has dedicated her life to racing, and should get the respect for doing so, im not a fan of her, but i can look at her and think she is doing good, and is not embarrassing woman in the process.

I'm a Danica fan, yes part of that involves looking at her cause she's #### fine, but so is Jennifer Jo Cobb and I don't like her at all. Yes there are braindead guys out there who only go for her cause of her looks but I think most of us who are fans of hers are fans because she is a pretty darn good driver. Is she a future champion in the Sprint Cup Series? I don't think so, I'll get crucified for saying so but I don't think a woman will ever be a Sprint Cup champion, but I think she could have a GREAT career as a Nationwide driver if that's the path she chooses.
