Tony eighth quickest in first practice

Looks like the brand new car is doing good. Was around second to 13th the whole practice. I like what Larry Mac said that he walks by the 14 garage stall every week and he doesn't sense panic in them almost like they know what they are doing right now .

I heard that too! I also heard when they interviewed Tony Gibson, that they (meaning the 39 & 14) used a heavier brake than normal, some what like they use at short tracks. They think that with the smoother track they will need to brake more, which makes a lot of sense. Also when Jeff Gordon had that really bad accident, the reason he hit sooo hard was because he had no brakes left. I like it............I think

Tony finishes up 25th in practice. Going out late in an early qualifying session. Since this track has so much grip it won't matter should start top 15 at least. I really feel another win is coming.
