Joey Saldana held off a hard-charging Kerry Madsen to claim the first heat race. NASCAR star and polesitter Tony Stewart pulled to the infield on the fifth lap while running second.

Looks like Tony had a good night at the dirt track. Good to see he's had some poor finishes as of late.

It was televised on Speed TV, Friday night 8:00, I think they will probably re run it again. It was really good, the dirt was a flying! Sometimes it was hard to see the cars. The winner Joey Saldana was covered. Kasey and Tony did well, but Tony had car parts problems.

The show was as usual,a #### of alot better than todays Nascar and i'm not too happy Speed is only televising three more this year! Tony is said to be running 50 Dirt races this year and i have to say he did impress me a Charlotte in his 410 sprint and now i am convinced he can drive anything! Awesome race Tony,just sucks you had mechanical issues and Sammy as well.Steve hadn't shread a tire,it would have been great to see all of them up there!
