Not a good lap, but likes his backup car same car that he won with last fall and with 500 miles and the fact that you can run anywhere on the track it will be fun to see Smoke race to the front.

Well at least it's not 30 th. . If he likes his car and they can adjust on it, then it will be fun to watch. Ryan qualified pretty good, so we will just have to wait and see. Go SHR!

Anybody hear why smoke changed engines in the backup car before qualifying? Not an auspicious start to the weekend...

They had to put the primary car's engine in the back up car so they could keep their qualifying position instead of having to go to the end of the line.

Ryan has stall 13. It's open behind him (easy entry) and the 93 (Travis Kvapil) is in stall 12.

The cool things about Texas is that if your car is good, you can pass. There will be long green flag runs tonight, so he is going to be needing to do alot of that.

Green flag runs only if the lights stay on. Actually, having the lights go out really helped Danica have a good finish.
