Both showed in the respective sports that winning and being hot during the right time only matters. Tony won races during the right time and was able to come and win the championship despite a mediocre regular season. Eli Manning and the giants had a mediocre regular season (five loses in a row) but got hot at the right time and never lost it and beat the Patriots again (my favorite team) in the super bowl.
Both of these guys reminded everyone that the regular season doesn't matter much as long s you get into the playoffs. After that anything can happen.
