A little dissapointing but moving on...

Mon Oct 10, 2011 2:33 pm

I took a break during work and came home and watched the race. Left with 100 to go pretty much knew JJ was (unfortunately) going to win but had thought Tony had second locked and would have a great points day.

After work I hung out with my friends and watched Sunday night foortball. They went on ESPN seeing the headline for the NASCAR section "Jimmie Johnson dominates" and I come to find out Tony finished 15th I couldn't believe it.

I watched the last 100 laps when I got home to see how it happened. I cant believe he made that kind of mistake. It was not fun to watch him not capitlize and lose points two weeks in a row. That being said he is only 19 points back with six races to go so it is far from over.

What he needs to do is win another race and finish top five from here on out. No more mistakes from Tony's end or the crew's end.

While this season is low number wise for him in everyway (laps lead is okay 300something, but only five top fives and 13 top tens career lows) But he has two wins and was facing a winless season. As long as he finishes in the top five in points and can at least match his career low (nine top fives and 16 top tens) I will be happy.

But the championship is still up for grabs. Just got to keep going on.

THE DISAPOINTMENT WEEK AFTER WEEK IS WHAT MAKES THE FEW GOOD
WEEKS EVEN BETTER. TONY CAN TIGHTEN HIS BELT UP 7 OR 8 NOTCHES
AND WIN THIS THING. DISAPOINTMENT GOES WITH NASCAR ON A REGULAR BASIS, JUST AS YOU SAID KEEP GOING.
THE OLDER DRIVERS ARE RUNNING OUT OF CHANCES FAST, NEED TO CAPTILIZE NOW!!
