All things Tony

Anyone who can get Tony through " that "race last night without a scratch, deserves a hugh "Atta-boy". It was a wreckfest and as Robert pointed out, also, a full moon. He is one of the best, if not the best spotter. He is the calm in the storm , never gets rattled. He has a very pleasant voice and so is funny. Besides ,Tony always calls him "Friend". If anyone has a picture of him , I would like to put a face to the voice. Great job Robert!!! Keep up the good work

I laffed too and once he called JJ "5 time"
I was listening in and can't remember BUT one of the drivers spotters was even better than Tony's. He would tell his driver about stupid moves ahead of him and warn when things got dicey and to watch out. Most of the time it would be JPM that was being dangerous. lol

My favorite Bob Jeffrey moment I've been able to listen into was Kansas this past June. They were lining up for a restart, Bob always tells Tony who is behind the driver beside him and then who is behind him. He goes "So and so has got so and so and you've got the Pittsboro High School Graduate." Obviously meaning Jeff Gordon.
Bob has spotted for my three all-time favorite drivers: Tony, Davey Allison, and Dale Jarrett.

Thanks everyone for the pictures. I knew he was good and now I know why. He has spotted for some of the best. I know about Cupcake and 5 time, but not sure about Cookie. I think it may be Ryan, cause of Krissie's cookies. He always tells Tony, everyone behind , in front and to the side of him on re starts. Also, those drivers ahead, who have simply lost their talent

I've heard him say "Cookie" but didn't know who he meant. It is probably Ryan, thanks annalee. I will pay more attention next time.

Thanks for the post. I think the spotters are in general the "unsung" heroes of a NASCAR team. Thanks for the reminders and if Bob or any of his family read these posts--- Please tell him we all send a big THANK YOU FOR CONTINUING TO DO A GREAT JOB FOR TONY!

I was laughing Saturday night, just about to the end, he was telling Smoke. "people getting stupid 3 cars ahead....keep an eye 3 cars ahead, people getting stupid and running out of talent." A lap or two later it was "people running out of talent 3 cars ahead!" Tony asked which car it was and Robert came back with "does it matter? They're all out of talent and getting stupid." I do believe that the 42 was one of the cars he was talking about.
