Tony finishes 24th

Two laps down at that and dropped to 7th in points. They were really lost the whole weekend and Ryan being off didn't help. Hope they regroup and are ready to go for Kansas. Didn't think he could be this off.

No worries!! They will regroup and get 'em next time. You have to have bad days in order to have something to work for. If you win all the time, you get complacent. LOL

Very disappointing showing last night. I kept waiting for Tony to break out after a pit stop, but it never happened. They got a lot of work to do.

On the scanner last night, Tony stated I don't want any more ******** green cars! Also, about forty-five laps to go, Tony came on the radio and said he knew what was wrong with the car but, it was something they couldn't fix on a pit stop. He had numerous problems with debris on the front of the car! Oil and water pressure was high and fluctuating, water pressure was over the top. At one point DW said Tony's car needed an exorcism, and he was not exaggerating. Nothing they did to the car helped. One problem solved NO MORE GREEN CARS.

I'm hoping more for a technical solution to his problems rather than a superstitious solution. "No green" won't help the handling.

at one point the even stated he was going to stop for a new coat of paint....and I said the min he hit that wall it cause the car has green....Yes I am a litte superstitious. But I also agree Its one race, We still have a LOT of races a head of us and you cant win them all...It would be nice but SHR got to give some else a chance every once in a while.. Bet it not going to be a fun meeting 2marrow.

I don't care much or believe in the superstitious stuff either. The car being green does not control handling issues or set up. (( Unless somebody is messin w/Tony on each green car? LOL ))

24, 29th, 34th... Tony and Team 14 are ALWAYS #1 in my book, regardless where they place.

from what it sounds like doc, you had a good time, and thats what it is about, when i go to dover, it doesnt matter who wins, just as long as i have a good time..

I think the best part of the race is listening to Tony and Robert, they are so, so funny! Tony wasn't really mad, maybe just a little frustrated and puzzled why the car was doing such strange things. I think after listening to them, Tony knows what mechanically was wrong with the car and they will be able to fix it! It really let's you know what is going on during commercials. One thing for sure, no green cars! Can't wait to see your picts.

Glad to hear you had fun at the race Doc. Races are always fun to go to.
I just don't understand why Tony was so off. He's never ran bad at Texas before. Should make a comeback at Texas.
