Harvick scores 23rd points-paying NASCAR Cup Series victory for SHR by winning the Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway by .571 of a second over second-place Jeff Gordon. It is Harvick’s third Cup Series win at Charlotte and his 26th career Cup Series win. Harvick ties NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee Fred Lorenzen for 25th on the all-time Cup Series win list.
The win automatically advances Harvick into the eight-driver Eliminator Round of the Chase.
