As for the fire hydrants...there was a fire two weeks ago and the hydrants was so badly buried that nobody could exactly remember where it was, so they came over to our street to hook up as they knew this one was cleared out. It is pretty bad when the neighborhood residents say they will keep one cleared out and don't and a house is lost because of it. Like I said they hooked up to the one in our neighborhood and the one just one street above where the fire was. It took a lot of extra time to hook up extra hoses and run all these extra hoses to these two hydrants to get to this house. They did bring in some tank trucks as well to get started with until the hoses were laid out and were up and running. I go back to the situation that if a neighborhood is going to say they are going to keep these things cleared out, then do it. We have a perfect example of what can happen when they don't follow through.
