You slowly make it into the kitchen to make your morning coffee. You get the water in the reserve, place the pot back in it's spot, turn the maker on & walk away. 4 mins later you return to the kitchen for some reason you still at this very moment of typing this can't remember why. But you went to the kitchen & looked at the coffee pot to see no filter basket in place & water all over the counter & some in the pot itself.
Thankfully it hasn't made it thru the whole 10 cups of water I had in the thing. So you turn off the coffee pot & clean up the water spill. Then pour the water in the glass pot back into the reserve & start to let it brew. If finishes what little is there & you're below the 10 cup line on the pot. So next you take a glass of water & just guess at how much it takes to make it back to 10 cups & let it brew. No, it didn't over flow, but I did end up with almost 11 cups. At least it's still drinkable.
