So how many wives are nagging their husbands or how many kids are nagging their parents about wanting to plant something like this in their yard...

This has been the first time our calendars have been out of alignment. I just guessed we were using the same one and that you were not always showing all the special things for that day and that is why I included the rest.

Love marigolds. Any Notre Dame fan would. ;)
(That is what lines the sidelines of the football stadium field.)

We're doing Mammoth Sunflowers this year for something new. They probably should have been done earlier, but prepping the ground will be a little bit of a job, and someone has been procrastinating.

Thank you tropical storm Andrea. Today is a complete washout... rain, rain and more rain.

At least it's not a hurricane, but forecasters have said there is a chance for tornadoes in some of the stronger cells. Around here they are mostly waterspouts.

:| Nap time is over :|
Could use another hr or so.

Still tired from yesterday. Didn't get a lot of sleep the night before & had to get up at 5:30 AM to fix breakfast before the big field trip at the kids school. All 8th graders went to Kings Island amusement park & I drove down to be with my kids & who'd be with them in their group. It was cold & rainy until around 1. Then around 3 it started misting rain again. The rides were shut down off & on during the first 2 hrs there for lightening surrounding the area. Wasn't in our area, but someplace close enough that they wouldn't allow the rides to operate. So they rode the indoor coaster a few times between it having to be shut down for lightening time to time. Because of the constant rain, a lot of people left. So when the rain did quit for a little bit before starting back up again, the line wait that's usually 2-4 hrs long was only 30 mins. Lunch was blah, LaRosa pizza. Yuck. $24 & odd cents for a large cheese pizza. A frozen box pizza from the grocery is just as good. Stayed until 4:15 & we left. I had signed the permission slip stating they had permission to stay longer than the school because they had a ride home.

Rode this one 3 times, no line waiting

Went to King's Island as a 7 or 8 year old when my Dad lived in Indy.
I only remember a couple rides. The main one was the blue/red racing coaster. Cool to see it's still there and running.
I also got lost and separated from my family. That was an awful feeling.

Went to see "Jaws" at the theater that summer too.
I wouldn't get in any water, even a bath, for the rest of the summer.
My Dad was a little misguided. ;)

Yep, I think the Racer will always be a classic for there.
I just was hoping they'd have the blue racer still running backwards as it raced the red one going the right way. They changed that I heard last year. Some young girls told me they changed it back to the regular way because some man rode it & had a heart attack.

Well, I don't know about that reason, but there's some reason it was turned back the right way that I don't know about.
