That picture was taken last Friday and they have been building it since February 6th. We have had more than 60 inches of the stuff since the beginning of February. To some that may not sound like much, to others that may sound like a lot. But to put things in perspective, we have had just under 90 inches for the entire winter season. So we have been busy people with our snow plows, snow blowers, and snow shovels over the last month and half.
A few winters ago we had more than 125 inches and that was the snowiest winter in more than 30 years. These last few years we have seen more snow than we are accustomed to and for those that are not used to it, they think we are nuts for wanting to live here...like my neighbors, but their kids love it and don't want to live anywhere else. They don't miss the heat of Texas. They are just not fond of the cold weather of Maine, but they love the snow. I have told them they can't have it both ways...you can't have real snow without the real cold. I remember when they first moved here and they thought 5 inches was a lot. They have now learned what a lot is as we have had several that have gone well over 18 inches in one shot. Got to love it.
I got the butter, clams, shrimp, scallops, and corn...so where is my lobster
