Thanks Beav! We are finally getting some snow tonight, chili is on the stove and we are ready!! They say we could get some Thunder snow!........now you have to understand I have daffodils about 6 inches up in the yard...so it probably won't last... Maybe 6 inches!! Yeah.....

I may have to go to Shawnee Peak and borrow a couple of snow guns and move them to the top of Mount Washington as winds are blowing at more than 70 mph to the south.

Looked out the window this morning expecting to see everything covered in snow, and found "NOTHING". I'm in an area called Mint Hill on Independence Blvd. But I know I'll run into it on the way home.

Testing was cancelled yesterday in Charlotte due to the weather. But they say that they are extending todays test from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with a 1/2 hr lunch break at noon.

I know when a lot you read this you going to say you have got to be kidding me...I traded the Avalanche yesterday. I wanted something with a larger bed. So I bought a GMC Sierra 1500 SLE 4WD w/ the 8ft bed and 34 gallon fuel tank and a 5.3 liter V8. It is champagne in color. I have been checking the state website of possible registrations for this truck. It took me awhile to find one that fit, but I am going to go with SHR FAN...I think that is fitting. I will have to get a new sticker for this truck from Tony, but we have a new sportsman license plate that reflects hunting and fishing in Maine and that will look on this truck...I am not much for hunting, but I do love to fish. This truck is also all setup with the towing package already. So all I have to do is hook up and go. I will be buying a tonneau cover, mud flaps, and few other accessories to go with it.

Naa, Beav, your not crazy. In my opinion a truck with anything less than an 8' bed is not a truck.

Temp's right now at 32*, clear skies and no wind. Going to low 50's for a hi.
Heading down to Holly Springs, NC this morning, just south of Raleigh. Supposed to be doing a store up-fit for a few weeks.

One person has died after an 86-vehicle crash which closed Interstate 275 at Colerain Avenue in both directions.

20 people were taken to area hospitals. Happened on the westbound side of the highway at 11:30 a.m. Monday.

The woman who died was standing in the median after the initial crash when she was killed.

At least nine semi-tractor trailers involved in the crash.

Posted: 3:12 p.m. The highway remains closed.

This is the second multi-vehicle crash in the area today. Approximately 50 cars were involved in a similar crash near Middletown on I-75.

It is 10* here...supposed to reach 22*, doubt it.

This great big huge storm system that was supposed to drop a couple of feet of snow never produced a single flake. It fizzled out and what little was left, went out to sea over Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

We have friends who live in RI... wonder how they are doing?
