60 closings around the area from the weather. I guess just a few miles from the house must have gotten dumped on by snow because some schools are closed. We only have a dust here & dust there. But the roads are wet in places so since it's 29* & very windy (guest up to 50), it's ice out there. Our schools here are on regular time.

My one son is saying he has to leave early to make up a high school class test. I love when he waits until the last 5 mins before we need to leave to say so.

Too much to get done with not enough time to get it done with.

Getting ready to make some peanut butter fudge for Christmas. Already have the Chex Mix out on paper towels to cool down. Need to make up banana breads after the fudge is made. But I'll be taking a break from that before getting into more baking. Trying to multi task today, dishes, baking, laundry, gift to wrap, & house work. Been busy all day & it seems like nothing's getting done much.

Current temp at 4:13 PM (not 5:13 PM) is at 33*

You are correct and Mrs HH & I got out into it this afternoon. Had a Christmas lunch with my son, daughter-in-law and my Aunt. Mrs HH & I will be driving south to Bonita Springs on Monday to spend Christmas with her 88-year old parents so this was the only time we had to get together. Turned out to be a nice day (weather-wise) but you are right, it's already cooling off... again.

Goooood Morning SHR

A brisk 25* and sunny skies this morning, s'pose to get to 55* before the days over with.
Not much going on today, staying away from the stores is the main task. Had to go to the Depot yesterday and the traffic was horrible, in the Mall area.

Thoughts and Prayers to All
Have a Great and Safe Day

Merry Christmas To All

Just finished getting all the presents taken care of & the stockings stuffed. I even wrapped the little stuff in the stockings. Will make the kids feel they got more than they did. Last night I was up until 2:30 AM & tonight it's 3 AM.

I can't afford to stay up any later, got a big day when the sun comes up.

Everything with our kids this year has been ... I want this and I want that ... so Mrs B and I decided to teach the kids a lesson this year. It is more blessed to give than it is to receive. No, we are not depriving them of gifts...totally. They can have the ones from relatives today...but won't they be shocked when there is nothing from us under the tree. We have always taught them about Jesus and that there is no Santa Claus, all the presents come from family and friends...not a guy in a red suit. Jesus received lots of gifts from lots of different people as well when he was born. This is what we have taught our kids.

Now to those of you wondering if we are going to give them anything...yes, we are going to make them wait a week or so. Let this lesson sink in. Maybe even have them write a story about the meaning of Christmas and how it is more blessed to give than to receive. Then in the future they will think back on this year and say was it worth it, should I have asked for so much, should I have thought of others first, and the list could go on.

From the entire Beaver Family,

MERRY
CHRISTMAS
