Hey smoke14 wins.......Can you call city or county animal control? Around here all you have to say is I think it may have rabies!! It may or it may not, but they aren't willing to take any chances. Usually with in the hour they show up and take care of the problem......worth a try

Them places are a joke, I called before. They want to charge $10 or maybe it was $20 a day to set out one of their live traps to catch it because they're not allowed to shoot anything. The live trap would sit until it's either caught, charging per day fee, or until I say it's costing too much.

So I hope what ever got injured on this thing made it mad enough that it won't be back again.

Now I just wonder if it'll sit on the ground hiding waiting for an attack on us when we come out of the house I'll have to have something in hand for a while when we go outside, have to protect my kids going to & coming home from school.

I'd better have the hubby inspect the furnace flue to make sure it's ok & not damaged & leaking carbon dioxide in the attic when it runs the A/C or later when the heater needs to be run. Right now it's been cool enough for the A/C to be off. But 2 more days I'll want it back on again.

Not that warm here either. 6:28 AM & it's 50*

it is now 54* and is supposed to reach 73*

It is 46* here this morning...time to dig out the hot chocolate. But lets make you feel real warm this morning. It is 39* on Mount Washington with winds blowing at 28mph out of the north...YIKES !!!

That's right with wind chill that is 11*...stew on that one for a few minutes.

Call me whatever you want, at least I'm warm.

But, I like the cold and the snow. And if the Farmers Almanac is correct...this will be one of the coldest and snowiest winters we will have on record in a good many years. Now mind you, three years ago we had more than 125 inches of snow and more than 4 feet of frost in the ground. Which made for a...depending on how you look at it...a wicked mud season. That was the year my father traded his Trailblazer for a 1500 Series Chevy with a 3 inch lift. Has not gotten stuck since.

I'll stick with my golf cart Beave, so I can drive it year-round

What's the forecast for Ohio this winter then? I loved last years winter, it wasn't much.....though we did get cold, a lot of it was milder than usual. I'd like another one of them winters!

From what I just read about the Ohio area, it will be very cold but drier than most winters...so bundle up those pipes. It does not sound like there will be much of Mother Nature's natural insulation to keep you warm.
