Sigh. We've been upgraded in temp since yesterday's forecast on today's forecast. We were supposed to be 91*, now we're to be 93* & still 20% chance of rain

I was looking at the foundation's raffle on a vehicle they have going. This year it's taking a long time to get all them tickets sold. They have 2165 still to sell. The drawing date is 10/1.

I've been watching time to time how many tickets are left & it's only about 1 a day. At that rate, it's going to take almost 6 years to get all tickets sold

We're going to need a vehicle before then! I didn't win last years raffle but I hope for this years.

I was wondering what would happen if all the tickets didn't get sold before the dead line, so I read the long rules. If tickets aren't sold, they can push the date farther along. All who that bought a ticket will get an E-mail if they do need to move the date.

It's only 9:40 and it's 93*, supposed to hit 113* today. Normal is 105* so we have a severe heat advisory. Figures that I have to be out and about today. It sucks when you have to keep a cooler in your car so your groceries don't go bad by the time you get home. It's about 3 1/2 miles to the store and it takes at least that long to get the car cooled down after sitting in the sun while you shop. Gotta love Phoenix in the summer

Rain, that's something we got during the night, several times in fact with thunder & lightening. Didn't sleep well, but we got some needed rains.

Today's forecast is scattered strong storms 60% We're at 77* getting up to 86* today.
Tonight is 80%.

Radar currently doesn't look hopefull for here where I live, rains above & below & what's out there heading this way looks like it's going to go below me (on radar). Glad we got what we got last night.

I am hoping to play catchup on sleep later today. We had a very large storm cell move through last night. I have read how 6 homes in the area were struck by lightening. Of the 6 of them, 3 of them are a total loss, 1 destroyed just the garage, 1 barn was damaged, and 1 barn was a total loss. All the news stories say that everybody that lives in these homes got out alive as well as the family pets. The two barns were used for storage so no animals were killed in there. Glad to hear there was no loss of life. Now the up hill battle for some as they try to figure out where or what they are going to do next.

We started seeing the lightening at around 9:30pm and then the thunder hit us heavy around 11:45 until 2:20am. The lightening finally ended at about 2:35am.

It is 69* right now, the dew point is 69*, the humidity is 99%. We have a chance of rain and thunderstorms late this morning, this afternoon, and tonight running at about 70%.

Sorry Bev, The rain that just went throw here is heading in your direction. It wasn't bad, just a nice light rain. It should be up there sometime this afternoon.

The storm in Indiana that was producing a tornado went south of us last night. It kept breaking up right before it hit is (radar view), but it did start raining from the tail end of the storm at 1:30 AM. I had stayed up thinking the bad was going to hit until 1 AM, but went to bed when I kept seeing it go poof on radar as it was about to knock on our door. We did get 2-3 rains last night that woke me up. I didn't sleep well either thinking a bad storm was going to hit, but nothing did

Today we're only getting to about 74* for a high. All the forecasted AM rain showers are not near us. A/C has a break today.

It's about dang time cup practice started!

Yep, as of right now, they've been running for about 22 minutes

But they were running for a few minutes before it was on the NASCAR website

I managed to catch it on SPEED while they spent their time going around track for a few laps with Tony.
