PLEASE We need it... BAD. Wildfires all around the county.

When you guys sent the rain our direction at the end of April, we had wildfires burning acres upon acres of land all over Maine with very high fire danger level warnings on a daily basis. We also were not able to get burn permits during this time either. They said that most of them were the work of arsonists and others were the work of carelessness, like tossing a cigarette out the window.

Now that we have had several inches of rain since, that fire danger level has dropped and burn permits are being issued again...for now.

It got to a very warm 99.7* at 2:30 pm in Timberville,VA. But with a farm fresh mountain breezy it did make it tolerable(?)...cough..Cough..Choke...Choke

Had a little T-storm go thru last night. Didn't last to long and not much rain out of it. They changed the forecast for today. Only going to 79* and still a chance of a t-storm.

Yup, 48* and they say there is a 50% chance of rain. I just looked at radar and out my window...I think they need to change that to 100% chance of rain...but hey what do I know, I only know what I can see and mine is coming from the direction of the Great Lakes.

40% of PM T-Storms here today, high of 81, tonight 40% chance rain.
Yesterday it was 87*.

That's the same for Eldora today but 30% tonight there. They have the Outlaws there this weekend.

Humid, storms and cloudy. I love the heat , humidity and the hair are not friends. Happy Friday !!!!

Back at home for the weekend. Only going to the low 80's today with a 30% chance of rain.. Right now it's75 and not a cloud in the sky. Got a lot of "Honey-Do's" to get done. So I better get at it...

As my nephew does not want me to forget. This coming from the kid whose family is paying almost 90 cents per gallon less than I am. Like I need to be reminded...or any of the rest of us.

It feels like that was 20 yrs ago

price of gas 20 years ago was 94 cents to $1.13 per gallon. I used to manage a gas station back in 1990 to 1992 and we used to sell gas for 84 to 99 cents per gallon.

Talk about mode swings. It must be that time of the month for Mother Nature. We had a beautiful day yesterday,til about 1:30 pm. Hi of 83*, sun shining and the birds were singing. Then a T-storm comes through and the temps dropped to the low 70's and never went back up.With a cool damp breezy, I had to get a warmer shirt on. Only 61* here this morning and only going to 70* for a high.Looking at
Dega's radar, they may be getting wet in a couple hours.
