Heading up to Elkton,Va this week. To see what the Virginy Mts really look like. Suppose to go to Timberville,Va as well. At least the weather is going to be decent. I don't think I would have liked it if it were a couple of months ago.

79* today with 30% rain
I'm so loving this near record highs we've had all week long. This weekend thru next week is mid 60's as a high.

I'm liking these record temps too but hope it does not mean snow in April or icky weather for the summer. It's 9:45am on March 19th and already 63* what's not to like

SNOW......in April Yes, I've seen it before & hope this isn't a year for it. But the strangness of the weather we've had, I wouldn't put it past Mother Nature to toss snow out on Easter.

According to Old Farmers Almanac it is supposed to be rainy and cool on Easter weekend. There is snow predicted for April 13th - 17th.

I remember back in 1982 we had more than 3 feet of snow. The only reason I remember it, is because we left for Florida 3 days later. When we got back a little more than two weeks later, we needed to mow the lawn.

Well we made it over the mountain.

I'm not awake & when I read that, the first thing I thought was it's past Wednwsday already!? I had to check the day of the week on the computer & see it's only Tuesday.

But that's ok, that means another unusual warm day today. Yesterday we got to 79*. Today is forecasted to be 84*& partly cloudy.

Hey Awsum, you are definately up in the mountains now. Only about an hour from me, and didn't you have great weather for visiting the mts. this week?

Yea It has been a beautiful week to be up here. And the mountains are really impresive. You can stand in the middle of the parking lot and look in 360 degrees and see nothing but mountains

Same thing happens to me when I am up on Mount Washington. Makes me want a hot chocolate just thinking about it.

Supposed to reach 82*, but we have not reached any of our highs yet this week. We have only gotten into the low to mid 70s each day, whereas they predict 80s each day. But hey, since when can the weatherman predict the weather.

This weather for upstate NY is about 30 degrees warmer than it should be. I have raked my leaves up in all the flower beds and if this continues may have to get the mower out. Word is around here, summer will be WET..

awsum14 your post always starts my day. I don't live anywhere near a mountain but I do adore the Smokey Mt. Driving to the top is magic after the fog lifts.
