Not everyone will get 4". It's going to be scattered so some could have 1" while other 4" & others in between. I hope we're 1" or less!

ausum14 I don't think people in Michigan know how to drive in bad weather either. The first snow last week which wasn't enough to get all upset about had more cars sliding off interstates and side roads than if it was a blizzard. It's almost like it is a challenge to see how fast they can go on black ice.

Down in Cincinnati which is 40 some miles away, they had a blizzard warning for last night.
Us, we lucked out & got about 2" the hubby said.

Got a chance to talk to my brother the other day and he was some ticked with how the Maine Turnpike Authority has maintained that stretch of highway this winter especially after such a severe rate hike this fall.

He went from his house to the interstate, which is 13 miles, in 20 minutes. Then got on the interstate which they brag is the best maintained road in the state and he went from the Biddeford exit to the Saco exit, which is only 4 miles, and it took him a little more than an hour because the roads were not plowed and were ice covered.

He then took his complaints to them by way of e-mail, their facebook page, and his own personal facebook account which got a mile long list of agreeable comments as to how he felt.

Since the guy we know retired from the city a couple years ago, the roads haven't been the best taken care of around here either. They're looking at the cheapest way to do things whether or not it's the best way to do something, plowing or repairs. They had an area of road repaved, not even 6 months later it's all tore up again. I SO wish our friend didn't retire!

I guess maintenance for roads everywhere has been cut. Michigan for some reason will replace roads and five weeks later they are ripped up. As for snow removal here is a joke. No side street or roads will be cleared unless they have 2 to 4 incheses of snow and sometimes more. They are stingy for spreading salt. Last year we had little snow and they had tons of left over salt. Will they still call for hardship? Of course. To complain is a joke as they don't listen.

Brrrrrrrrrrr - 48° in Tampa this morning. It is supposed to get into the low 70's later today, but I'm not sure it is going to make it.

Safe travels to all today / tonight / tomorrow & Happy New Year.

It's currently 33* here at 10:16 AM & will only get one more degree higher for the day.
Going to have snow showers in the afternoon into eve & windy. News on TV this morn said this eve the roads will be slick so a winter advosory will be posted.
Radar is quite colorful, light greens, pinks, & blue knocking on our door. But the radar in motion on the weather channel's web site freezes up before it gets done. Had been doing this last few days. They must be updating it or something? Anyway, not a good weather day for us.
