Re: Question of the Day

Thanks smokieonefour. I'm always trying to help. I think out car experiences were about 10 years apart or so because they were still building the exits in the 50s. Never had much long travel experience in RVs at all. But we agree on the trains.

Re: Question of the Day

Car....love to drive/ride for the scenic value and if you can stop along the way, even better....have done a few road trips -- from NY state to Florida, to Arizona, Wyoming, Santa Ana to OKC-- the longest ones, shorter to New Hampshire, Virginia, Rhode Island, etc.
Boat....grew up clos the water (St. Lawrence River)...I arrr a River Rat  -- love sailing :D
Plane....used to love to fly, but with all the restrictions and pack 'em in, it's a pain. Still the best and fastest way from A to B
Bus....after a few bus trips (long and short), may be inexpensive mode of transportation, but definitely not my choice
Train....never taken a trip on a train other than quick/short sightseeing tours. Actually, I don't like trains-- only standing near them, waiting at crossings etc.---for some reason it stems from years of going to the train station in Canada to pick up my Aunt and waiting at the tracks for the train to come in--scared me when they did-- I was really young--- and that heebie jeebie feeling has never left me
Motorcycle....love riding driving them....road trip from Santa Ana to San Francisco--fun trip through the mountains--- but not always safe around here--drivers can be clueless

Love the responses! :) Here's a new question:

What is your favorite day of the year and why?

Re: Question of the Day

as a kid my favorite day of the year was the last day of school, it was 4 hrs long, but it felt like it was twice that, we got to wear shorts that day and to know all the pressure of exams were behind us.

Re: Question of the Day

I think maybe??? The Vernal Equinox = First day of Spring. It, to me, signifies a new beginning with all the trees filling up with their moisture gatherers and the animals running around not knowing why? It's baseball, apple pie and Chevrolet all in one day. :D It's soon to be "fool your neighbor" and the feeling of relief getting those hundreds of dollars of taxes paid. :x And then all of a sudden it's parade time to remember all those souls who gave it all. Just me I guess.

Re: Question of the Day

Hard to say exactly. For a while, Easter was my favorite, and it's still one of them.
I'd guess now it's a toss-up between the first full day of football and my son's birthday.
Yes....Sammy's bday wins. ;)
But not by much.

What's your favorite summertime snack/treat?

My younger days, couldn't wait for a nice cold glass of country time lemonade. Now orange popsicles!

Re: Question of the Day

I drink lemonade everyday - it's my 'go to' drink of choice. I drink Kool-aid lemonade mix at home ( with a real lemon squeezed in ) and Minute Maid if I'm out & about. I also like to pour a big glass of Koolaid lemonade and mix in a bit of cherry or strawberry Koolaid. I also think I may be addicted to McDonalds Strawberry lemonades...... ;-)

LOL Never too old for Kool aid! :-)
