Re: NFL Football 2013-2014

Father time takes its toll on everyone. Even NFL quarterbacks.
The picture below of former Packers quarterback Brett Favre looking like Santa Claus lite/Grizzly Adams hit Reddit on Monday.
While Favre is looking a little haggard these days, it's hard not to be impressed by the gun show.

Re: NFL Football 2014 Trainging Camp

They haven't even started training camp yet?

Now, I am NOT a Bills fan, but they opened training camp on the 20th (yeah--they need all the training/help they can get :|)

My teams has 5 Super Bowls wins, though they haven't been the best the last couple years

Re: NFL Football 2014 Trainging Camp

we are sworn enemies during football season:D

there is a article out there where they are calling the Vikings new stadium a "deathtrap" for birds because they will have these huge glass doors at the one end of the stadium and people are afraid birds will fly into it, not knowing glass is there.... they came up with a solution to have this special glass made with dots, the birds will see the dots and fly around, they said it would cost 1 million to install, but the people building the stadium say they dont have the money, even tho they are spending 1 billion dollars to build it, when your talking that kinda cash, what is 1 million??? they should let the Audubon Society have a chance to raise the money if it will help the birds from not running into the glass.

Re: NFL Football 2014 Trainging Camp

If the Green Bay Packers have their way, Brett Favre will return to Lambeau Field this season.

It won't be to retire his jersey. Relations between the estranged former star quarterback and the team with which he earned certain Pro Football Hall of Fame membership are not improved to that level, but an appearance this year would make that easier to achieve.

"We are talking about bringing him back for a game this year," said Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy after Thursday's annual shareholders meeting. Murphy said they had talked to Favre about returning last year, but the talks "were not fruitful."

Murphy had mentioned earlier this month that there was concern Favre would be booed by Packers fans who are still miffed at him for the drama regarding his retirement in 2008 and subsequent return to play for the New York Jets and division-rival Minnesota Vikings. In response, Favre said he wasn't worried about being booed at Lambeau Field.

Favre played 16 seasons with the Packers before being traded to the Jets. He played one season with New York before signing with Minnesota in 2009, sparking anger among many Packers fans. He was booed loudly at Lambeau Field when he returned with the Vikings to play the Packers in the fall of 2009.

"It was a very emotional time for the Packers," Murphy said of Favre's retirement and return.

"I think we have the best fans; it's not anything close in terms of other fans in the league. I'm very hopeful that when he comes back it will be fully supported by our fans."

Relations between Favre and the Packers have improved since the quarterback's retirement from the Vikings following the 2010 season. Murphy repeatedly has said that he would like the Packers to retire Favre's number 4 before his expected induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2016.

Bob Harlan, former Packers' president and now a member of the Packers Hall of Fame board, is working with Murphy and Favre on a possible retirement event.

jd were talking about doors that are a couple stories high, if a fan can break one of these doors, then they deserve to be on the field....

Re: NFL Football 2014 Trainging Camp

Here we go Steelers.....As ALWAYS, the Steelers have the opportunity to make some noise, if our Center and QB can stay healthy. We traded some of our favorite oldies and got some young blood. We'll see how that pays off. There is NO WAY the Ravens will repeat, but you can expect that answer from a die-hard Steelers fan. I think there are three teams, which we normally don't pay attention to, who are going to be a surprise: The Lions, Rams and Bills. Keep an eye open....
