That beautiful view where you are or have been

I have been thinking about this for awhile. We all talk about how nice our little part of the country is or the part we have visited is...it is like nothing we have ever seen. So I thought, why not share it.

Today a local restaurant contacted me about a picture for my website as I have been advertising that I am looking for just that, a new local picture for the home page...no money, just the free advertising and credit as to who supplied it. This one came from the Campfire Grille in Bridgton.

I really like the photo doc but my favorite part of it is the train. It's special as it will always be there.

The train really is a bonus....my husband gets a kick out of watching it go by.

We've owned this house for a little over a year and next month will be my first time to go up and stay a while. Richard has been up several times. It will certainly give us a break from the Texas heat in July!!

Doc, this is a crazy question, but why did you pick Wyoming? Love the train.....It is so far from Texas....We have a vacation home off the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC.....it is about 45 mins to one hour from where we live and I just love it! If I can figure how to post some of our Picts......it has spectacular views...Soooooooooooo peaceful and quiet. Just nice, especially in the summer..no humidity!

Ha, good question! My husband is a huge outdoorsman. We have vacationed in Wyoming for years and found this house just by chance. Our plan is to retire in 2 years and live there part-time and in Houston as well. My children are here so I wouldn't want go to Wyoming full-time so this is our compromise.

Jellikit, that sweet little face would make any scenery look good. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, I think we have it all wrong...the highest of high temps in Texas and the lowest of low temps on Wyoming. If we swing it just right we will have the BEST of both

I love trains and grew up not too far from the train track that went from Chicago to Detroit. It was always busy. My grandfather was a conductor on a New York Central freight train and an uncle was a fireman on the freight train also. So we always heard all the stories. I love traveling on a train except when changing trains in Chicago for one going to Detroit and our train was late coming from Kansas City. Never ran so fast in my life.
