Some Presidential Facts (Not Current Stuff)

George Washington was the only president to receive 100% of the electoral vote- in 1780 & 1792.

John Tyler had the most children, 15. Five years after leaving office he was so poor he was unable to pay a bill for $1.25 until he sold his corn crop.

George Washington was the only president who didn't represent a political party.

When George Washington was elected President, there was a King of France, a Czar in Russia, an Emporor in China, & a Shogun in Japan. Only the office of President remains.

Bill Clinton is the only President ever to be elected twice without ever receiving 50% of the popular note. He had 43% in 1992 & 49% in 1996.

Andrew Jackson is the only President to have also been held as a prisoner of war. This was during the Revolutionary War.

The only Predident to be head of a labor union was Ronald Regan.

William Henry Harrison was the only President to study medicine.

Gerald Ford was once a male model. He was also born Leslie Lynch King Jr.

:shock: The Constitution wasn't ratified until 1787. In 1780 we were still fighting the British.

he was commander of chief from 1775-1783, then elected president 1789-1797
