Baseball Toons #1: Like Team, Like Fan

Sun Mar 13, 2011 5:50 pm

Gonna do baseball-themed toons showing the exploits of fans of various MLB teams. This is the first edition, these twin sisters will probably be the stars. Originally they were gonna be Jessica and Michelle, the SHR girls, sporting a Sammy Sosa Chicago Cubs jersey with huge foam arms and a tied-up Javy Lopez Atlanta Braves jersey, respectively, but I decided to give those two a rest and create all-new characters. Haven't got their names or any of their baseball-loving friends created yet, but here is the first toon.

Now ya have to realize that just because I live in Red Sox Nation, does not make me a Red Sox Fan...that being said. Ya have to pick a team with a proven track record of getting to the World Series and winning the most World Series Championships.

GO YANKEES !!!

That is hardest I have laughed all week seeing the Red Sox in #2. Get Real. If I didn't know any better, I would say you made that up.

Phillies have a DREAM rotation, but like you said, they gotta play the game.

The Cubs have a decent rotation, provided 1 guy doesn't fly off the handle, and another guy doesn't have heart troubles again this year.

The Cubs could be pretty good this year, as long as the catcher doesn't get caught smoking weed in his native country (again), the left fielder doesn't let fly balls fly over his head (allowing more runs to score than scoring himself), the 3rd baseman relearns how to hit, along with the Japanese player....and if the 1st baseman hits better than .200 this year.

Oh, and a good 2nd baseman would help too.

PARTY ON SHEFFILED AVENUE!
GO CUBS!
