My dad was diagnosed with emphysema today. Would appreciate prayers if I can get them.

So sorry to hear that about your Dad. My Dad had that. Just love your Dad a lot. Thoughts and prayers for you and your Dad.

You have the prayers of the Beavers and everybody in the hut. I know how hard this is to do deal with. My wife's Dad has this and has had this since working in the wollen mills for more than 30 years and has been battling it for more than 20 years. The clean country air has done him wonders.

My Dad also had emphysema. He lived to be 90 and has this for many, many years. Had inhalers he used all the time. Prayers coming your way.

Thanks y'all. I'm real worried about my mom because on top of this our family cat - whom she is extremely attached to - is apparently in his last days. So I dunno how she's gonna handle all this.

Prayers for all of your family (including Kitty), Aaron. It sounds so mundane but it really is true that the Lord won't dish out more than you can take...hang in there!

I hope Smoke14TS does not mind, I have a prayer request of my own and figured why start a new thread...why not use an existing one.
I got this prayer request from a Pastors wife who lives next door to us. The Pastors mother was hit by a car in a parking lot and had to be flown by helicopter to a hospital with a trauma center more than 80 miles away. When she was struck by the car it broke her hip and broke her wrist. They have placed a pin in her hip and are going to be placing a pin in her wrist tomorrow. The Pastor also has a sister who is recovering from ankle surgery in a separate incident.
So, bottom line...He has one sister traveling in to be with their Mom, one recovering from surgery, The Pastor who is stuck in Maine while this whole thing is happening in Texas, and we are all asking for your thoughts and prayers for this entire family and the medical professionals treating everybody.
