they have canceled games for the month of november...... i feel they will be back for the winter classic, its bein held at michigan stadium and that place holds 105 thousand people, dont see the greedy NHL passin on that money maker.

well as of today, the NHL canceled the winter classic, looks like this season will be a bust.

always searching for college hockey when I have time to sit down and watch tv

NHL is about 6th on the popularity list, I put it behind college basketball. It surprises me both sides are being puckheads about this.

...I watched it too ...they only ran it like 5,000 times...

NBC Sports puts on College hockey occasonally and CSN/TCN put on Hershey Bears/AHL games and the occasional OHL game here locally.

BTW, hockey's tied for first on my list...

as i told you earlier jam, some of the players are getting tired of donald fehr, there was a reason he was fired from representing the mlb players... he always took everything to the extreme, its a power trip for him, not that im saying the owners are angels, get rid of fehr, the strike would be over in a week.

I enjoy nhl more than college basketball. Heck, I enjoy college wrestling more than college basketball. It amazes me they are on the verge of cancelling the season for the 2nd time in less than a decade, in a sport where tv viewership is not all that high.

Haven't the owners and players noticed at this point that no one seems to care that hockey isn't on? Sports radio here in Chicago doesn't talk hockey at all. The White Sox are getting more air time in December than the Hockey Lockout. This is less than 3 years removed from the Blackhawks winning the Stanley Cup and bringing a hockey resurgence to this town. All of that momentum they built up is now gone.

well here in philly it is a hot subject, we have a ton of AHL and ECHL teams that do great business,even without a strike, and i know places like MN, WI, MA, NH, hockey is still big doesnt matter if pros are playing

Yet another reason why the NHL needs to get over itself and get back to playing. Fans that need their hockey fix are watching other leagues instead.

The last season there wasn't any hockey I gave up my season seats along with my friends that used to share them. Here in Phoenix, too much else in the news like will Wiz get fired for his crappy football team. Not a big hockey town but I enjoy it. Used to go see the Kings (don't start) when I lived in Cali. The Coyotes were just turning things around and now another season is lost. Two lost seasons in such a short period of time is beyond stupid.

One of the worst things my mother could say to me is that I disappointed her. Too bad the owners don't care how disappointed the fans are. They should truly be ashamed of themselves. Like they say here, I wouldn't pi$$ on them if they were dying of thirst...

if it dont come back in January id say its over, they couldnt even get a half a season together unless the teams played back to back multiply times

there was an article posted this morning that the owners were optimistic about getting the season started, by the end of the day the canceled 3 more weeks of the season.........
