SHR Friends, Monday, 8/6, I will have the cataracts removed from my left eye. Two weeks later my right eye will be done. This is no big deal, but I don't know how good my vision will be for the next month. As a result, I may not be online much. But I will be back ASAP! LOL

I had the cataracts removed from both eyes, one week apart last year and my vision was fine in between. After the first eye was done, I remember noticing how much brighter everything looked in that eye compared to the other one. I walked around and covered one eye and then switched to the other - bright... dim... bright... dim... It was actually quite funny how much better things looked almost immediately.

Thank you, HH. Did you wear eyeglasses before your surgery? I wear Coke bottle bottoms and have for years. I am wondering how I will see during the two weeks between the two surgeries. One eye will need my existing glasses and one will need a new lens. Tell me, oh wise one, how did you deal with that? After surgery, supposedly, I will only need reading glasses.
