He does seem genuinely ecstatic to be at SHR. Tough as the decision was for Tony to let Darian go, it seems like a good move so far.

I would have been much happier if Tony had moved Darian over to CC the #39 team and let TG go, but that's just my personal opinion. There may be more to the story than we know, like a deal to get Zippy from JGR.

#### I liked Addington way back when he was Kyles scapegoat. When I heard he was leaving I wanted him for Ryans CC back then, but Kurt had the inside track on him. Imagine how mad I was when I heard he became Tony's CC. Well you dont have to imagine, you could just go back & read some old posts LOL
I consider Addington a top 5 CC.

Addington is like Knaus (except for all the rules violation), Zippy and even Grubb. He is a winner and just knows how to get cars to victory lane. He finally has a driver that he can work with too.

I was reading this article about Addington he said the best part about working with Tony (which I thought was a dig to the Busch brothers) was that know of "you didn't do this to the car" and just good feedback. I don't know how one man could take all that.

I read that article too. I took it as a jab at the Busch brothers also. Steve sure is getting a lot of press lately, GOOD press (finally) and deservingly so.

One reason Addington took what was handed to him was the fact he had a contract and kept his part of that contract. That is one of the greatest parts of his integrity. It's never fun to work for or with goof-balls but I have a feeling Steve doesn't burn his bridges. Some day he may need that bridge.

I just think he is such a nice guy, and a perfect fit for Tony.
