Diecast Collectors(Your Collection, News, etc.)

wow that deck lid is nice, do you have other pieces?? did you ever see the piece jam has off the kenny schrader truck? i always wanted to buy some, but my house isnt that big, bug i collect alot of music memorabilia and i collect alot of gold and platinum record awards that were owned by certain musicians......

OK MJ: From my wife's collection of Nascar Stuff....
This piece is from one of Jeff's last Rainbow cars in "1999".. Way before jj was Jeff's partner in Crime!! This piece was side-swiped from none other then Dale Earnhardt Sr. Still has the black paint..Don't know the race it happend at but it came off Jeff's "99" car...Right side door panal signed!!
p.s. I come in 2nd (after jeff) in our house..

that is a cool piece, i remember back in the day that was the hottest car out there, not many cars had that wild paint scheme, then RCR started it off with the silver winston select 3 car in 95, and havent looked back since.

I payed a purrrrrtty penny for that piece!!

the numbers are routed into the wood freehand, then sanded & painted, then the entire piece is sealed.
The top has grooves for 2 cars, with felt padding to keep them in place.
The bottom has 2 hooks to hang the matching coats/hats
no metal brackets on the back, but keyhole slots, with more felt padding to prevent markups on the wall.





I don't have any diecast cars, but thought it was a cool concept.
I like jsw's desktop idea, those were cool!
I got some large pieces to make for the house (not nascar stuff, just furniture my wife has been wanting to make things pretty in here.
I'm going to make non-nascar stuff to sell to the shops in this area of the state (small moveable items, that won't get me in trouble with the nascar lawyers )

we carpenters are a proud people, and often look like this after staining & spraying lacquer (and drinking all the while)

so we like to gloat on our projects when they're finished

I did wood finishing for years, long time ago, usually with the paints I didn't need to drink also ...

i cant show off my projects, not fair, im ready to cry
