Re: Diecast Collectors(Your Collection, News, etc.)

I haven't bought any diecast in a few years.... lack of space to display and lean discretionary funds are the 2 main reasons. One of these days I'll have to get one of Tony's cars just so I have a current one.

Re: Diecast Collectors(Your Collection, News, etc.)

I've got 4 #12 Ryan Newman cars still in the original packages that I'll give to anyone that wants them. FREE! Just PM me to arrange shipping. The reason...I'm not a collector and I just feel like giving them a good home.
If I get more than one request, I'll run a lottery of sorts and pick names out of a hat. The four are described as follows:

RYAN NEWMAN #12 - 2005
Team Caliber
1:64 Scale Die-Cast Replica
Dodge Charger

RYAN NEWMAN #12- 2002
Team Caliber owner's series - Limited Edition
2002
Die-Cast Replica
1:64 Scale Adult Collection

RYAN NEWMAN #12
Sears
1:64 Scale Die-cast Replica
Ford Taurus
Year unknown (2005?)

RYAN NEWMAN #12 - 2005
Team Caliber
1:64 Scale Die-Cast Replica
Dodge Charger

I'd love to put a picture of them in this post but I do not know how.

Re: Diecast Collectors(Your Collection, News, etc.)

Okay then. Did I say FREE or not? Yup FREE! This is the one and only time I'll bring this thread up to the top. If you do not want to give me your address, there is a thing called General Delivery.

You can give them to your kids to play with, or grandkids, or your butler's cousin who wrecked your car last year. Anyone.

If I don't get a taker by sundown Wednesday, June 4, 2014, I'll send them to Ryan's charity of which I don't know the address yet but will. He'll receive them and say...What? #12? He'll then pitch them as maybe I should have done long ago. They're only 1/64ths anyway, whatever that means.

Re: Diecast Collectors(Your Collection, News, etc.)

Wow Thor, that's pretty cool.
I've never really checked this thread since I have no die-casts and really don't have any money at the time to get any.
But I would just love to get one and share it with my (almost)5 year old, Sammy.

Thanks for the offer!

Re: Diecast Collectors(Your Collection, News, etc.)

One? How bout 4. They are all yours my friend. PM me your address or the General Delivery nearest your home and I'll take care of the rest, on me. Just wanting to give them a good home, that's all. I'll get them out next week some time and let me know when you get them, if you would please.

I hope you and Sammy enjoy them. Please tell him the story about the #12 turning into #39 then #31. Then, let me know the story. Also tell him of South Bend, LaSalle High School, Purdue, NASCAR, and especially his Rescue Ranch/Ryan Newman Foundation. He may not be very competitive these days but he's still a good man. :D

Re: Diecast Collectors(Your Collection, News, etc.)

What a good video.
Ryan is such a class act.
Thor, thanks very much man. I'm not too proud to say that things have been difficult lately. You certainly put a smile on my face this morning. (It's funny how a simple act of generosity can make one feel.)
I will be very, very glad to tell Sammy about the things you've wished me to. He's a big car guy already, and loves NASCAR. He knows who the 31, 14, 4 and many other drivers are too. (The Brickyard was a big day/deal here last year.) If I had to guess, I'd say his favorite is the 24 because of Jeff "Corvette" being based on Jeff Gordon from the movie "Cars." He also likes that 48 guy. I'll have to work on that. But he loves winners. ;) He loves to watch races with me. And, like Brooklyn, he had a speech delay when he was little and also like her, he doesn't stop talking now. ;) So that was pretty cool to hear in the vid.
Thanks very much for sharing the vid and the cars. Made my freakin' day buddy! 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

Re: Diecast Collectors(Your Collection, News, etc.)

bought a couple diecast the past few months, when the other two get here ill post a pic of them...

i have bought some chase diecast and the market is saturated with his autographed diecast, i hope he doesnt turn into another Jr and by that i mean a cash cow for his owner, i hope he lives up to his potential and has a good career, they are doing that with larson now pumping out the diecast, it takes the fun out of collecting when ya dont really have to look for something.
I miss you Frehley........
