Well, so much for his, "I don't do drugs" response when he was suspended.

Yep & I was wanting to give him the benefit of doubt a little bit too.
It's his loss.

And he is trying to get money from Nascar.

I hope he gets help, too. IF he wants to get off the meth, he won't be able to do it alone. If he doesn't, it will only get worse from here.

So, sooooo true. That can be said about most addictions... however, with meth, you also have the melting mind syndrome. Seriously.. I have seen that garbage melt people's minds... and they never get better. You can quit the drug... but the damage has been done to the mind / brain.

I, also, wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt... something akin to David -vs- Goliath, taking on NASCAR.... but now that hope is dashed. My sympathy and empathy goes to his whole family & friends who have to live with his bad decisions.

It is said that Mayfield was steeling stuff to pay for his drug habit. They found 1.5 grams of meth, mostly tools, metals and machinery worth $100,000. Witness said he purchase and consume meth "over 500 separate times."

He is the perfect example of how addiction ruin a life. I hope that this is his bottom because only then will he reach out for help. unfortunatley it appears that he his still in denial.
I wonder how dratic of a change there is in his looks.
