Good Ole Days are right JW.....The sad thing is they were just cars then but a few years later they seemed like master pieces and they are. I feel like a million bucks when I see one of the 50's cars on the road that was either kept pristine or was restored to showroom quality. My first car was a "48" Ford and the second was an "80's" something Farenza by Oldsmobile. I adored that car and I was the only one to drive it. My husband never really cared about cars except they took him where he wanted to go.

Re: Car/Truck Thread

After I was out of the Army, I bought a brand new 71 Nova with 3mi on it. Paid $3,000 for it. 305 small block V8 with rally wheels. Took the grill off & painted it black. Only had 11,000 mi on it when I traded it in for a "66" Corvette converable with a 327 two speed auto. Paid $1,800 for it back then. Sure wish I had that car today! Sweet Car! Drove the vette from Michigan to Phoenix Az & sold it one year later!!!

Re: Car/Truck Thread

Can't help but wonder if Tony has done it in the back of his Chevy station wagon. Think of it every time I see the car. LOL

My first was a '59 Ford Fairlane. Nothing special about it but it was in good shape and I paid $150 for it, but that was a lot of money in 1965. Tried to buy a brand new 1966 Baracuda for $2600, but my mother wouldn't let my father co-sign for such a big loan.

Re: Car/Truck Thread

Well I know it's been a long time since any posted in this but I've pretty much found out the truck was and shoulda been just hauled off to the junk yard lol but knowing me I wasn't gonna send the gal to her death bed. Instead I took her off that put her back on her wheels. She got just about everything fixed now. Boy has she come along way.

Re: Car/Truck Thread

My first ride was a 1986 Chevy Sprint. It was a teeny tiny lil thing. Pretty sure it was made from recycled beer cans, and it had a lil 3 cyl lawnmower engine under the hood.
