Budweiser's touching 9/11 commercial finds an audience once again
22 hr ago
During the 2002 Super Bowl, Budweiser ran a somber one-minute commercial featuring a horse-drawn Budweiser wagon traveling across the country to pay tribute to the victims of 9/11 in front of New York City's skyline. They only intended to air it once. And keep in mind, this was before one could count on YouTube to make a "one-time TV event" live on forever. Budweiser aired the ad one other time, on the 10th anniversary of 9/11. Today, the commercial is, not surprisingly, reaching another wave of viewers. While it balances a tricky line between moving tribute and blatant marketing, it still is one minute that is worth your time today.
