Re: Memorial Day
We've already been to 3 cemeteries with flowers for family and friends. Since so many of both our families have passed and there isn't anyone to attend to this any more. It really is our pleasure. Some of my family won't go near where my parents are but I find it comforting. It's a long distance to most of my relatives but my husbands families are close together. The traditions are set in stone and we never change them such as the fact my father-in-law didn't like flowers so he gets greens. One year I picked out a brussle sprout plant. I just knew he would have loved it as he always had a garden. It's a very special time of year to refleck on family and our military who have given the ultimate.
The Military Thanks You For Standing Behind Them. If You Can't Do that You Can Always Stand In Front Of Them.....Think About It.....
Thank you to those who took a step forward to save the rest who stand still.

That's awesome, NDunn. Traditions can be so comforting!
Everyone be safe and have fun this weekend, but way more importantly, let's all remember what this weekend is really all about! Thank you and Bless you, all who have served, all who are serving, and their respective families.

Heroism is latent in every human soul - However humble or unknown, they (the veterans) have renounced what are accounted pleasures and cheerfully undertaken all the self-denials - privations, toils, dangers, sufferings, sicknesses, mutilations, life-long hurts and losses, death itself - for some great good, dimly seen but dearly held.
