Outside of a missed shift on a restart she had a really consistent night. Which is actually normal when hse is out running on her own. Did pretty good.

Someone said that she had JJ's spotter for tonights race. Anyone know if that is true?

Don't know Schmoop. T.J. Majors usually spots for her. Was he not her spotter Friday night?

That is correct. Earl Barban was Danica's spotter lastnight.

She DID have the #48 spotter for last nights race as there are articles on it from espn. Guess Rick Hendricks is trying everything he can to fix Jr Motorsports and their lackluster teams and lack of wins for 2 yrs now or even podiums. Announcers mentioned that Rick also may put Regan Smith, if he is available, in a JRM car for next season FT. Apparently Hendricks is calling most the shots as its more apparent then ever now and saw articles saying he was the one behind putting Danica in JRM also back in 2010 as he had NO place else to put her when she first signed for PT Nascar. Also ESPN announcers mentioned that Cole Whitt is NOT signed for next yr--yet? Reports say JRM wants 2 FT drivers next yr in its NNS program--we'll see--as sponsors will determine THAT?

Danica had a decent run last night but they made a change on one of the the 2nd to last pit stops that didnt help the car as they thought, but 11th without crashing is good at this point. Her car was better overall as in-car cameras didnt show her fighting the wheels as much as she always did before so maybe the CC change is helping? As i said before it cant get much worse as she hasnt had a good 1st FT season--but probably the last in NNS anyway? Also Danica and Cole both said their cars were lacking speed so wonder what Hendricks thinks about THAT as Rousch, RCR and Penske are winning but NOT Hendricks in NNS?

BTW--Sources are reporting Eury JR hanging atround SHR over the weekend--Oh Oh>

TJ hasn't spotted for Danica since about mid-season... Danica has been trying out different spotters in preparation for next year (she likes TJ a lot but he will obviously be spotting for Dale Jr so he isn't an option she can use in 2013) and JRM moved TJ over to Cole most likely for consistency sake. I think she has used a number of different spotters trying to get a feel for their style, etc... Most recently, she has been using Tab Boyd during her combination NNS/NSCS weekends but he doesn't spot for her when she is only running NNS (he was actually Joey Logano's spotter last night).

Her best spotter and coach was Johnny Benson who won a truck series championship some time ago, but he jumped in and helped her last yr for awhile and she had her best finishes with HIM. He was supposed to have a truck ride this yr but lost it but heard he was doing some lessor series racing. Apparently it worked well with him as her spotter, course he obviously wants to drive in races himself rather then just be a spotter? Some of her wrecks were do to spotter errors I read so spotters have tough jobs apparently as weve heard from other bad wrecks where the spotters were partially blamed, like Talledega etc where its tough to see the entire track.

Guess you dont watch much Nascar or you're posting crap to "stir things up" again as anything "Danica" is something to trash talk about by some here? Danica started in Nascar in 2010 and has never had any changes in NNS to her CC untill recently due to constant bad results as she is telling them whats wrong and they either wont or cant fix it? Now with over 54 NNS races she is actually being more vocal about it over the radio and now changes were made with the CC and the results will either show or they wont. However watching her at charlotte she wasnt fighting the wheel as much--for a change--and with half a dozen Cup drivers in the field it wasnt a bad result of 11th.

Lots of drivers change CC etc for better or for worse. Dale Jr for example has used almost every Hendricks CC they have to try and get him better results and this yr finally he got another win after 4ys without one, so its working, or it was. The cars setup is VERY important at all tracks and then others it is moreso the driver on the tougher tracks as well and then at the plate tracks its simply "Luck" how or IF you finish--end of story.

Danica is learning and it takes time for drivers without a stock car background --need I mention how long its taken other open whelers to finally win and there are others like M. Annett espn mentioned as an example for Danica of how tough it can be in Nascar, as he has been driving in Nascar for 5 yrs now and hasnt won, except in ARCA, but is finally running in the top 10 consistently now? One ESPN guy said it best some time ago watching her fighting the wheel very bad in a race by saying "even Kyle Busch would have a tough time driving that car bad as it looks" as they were showing her in-car camera--end of story. Hopefully next yr in Cup things will go better then they have in NNS--one can only hope?

Edited as Race Hub just did a segment interview with M. Annett today and his story in Nascar shows how tough it can be for many drivers, as he is almost in his 5th season and IS finally contending with top 10's, top 5's etc this yr. People criticizing Danica just dont realize or want to realise how tough Nascar can be for many drivers or maybe they wouldnt be so quick to judge her? Thought I'd mention that, for all the good it will do?

And exactly HOW would you know that--BIG MOUTH?? IF Danica was 1/100 as bad as no-nothings like you suggest she certainly wouldnt be around long as she has and be thriving. Drivers, or sports celebs as she is who are unfriendly as you suggest dont last long and they certaintly wouldnt be sought after by high dollar sponsors to market and represent their products if they werent great with people--nor would she have so many fans--her career is proof of that. However--as it was mentioned in articles, every now and then fans do get left behind or ignored/forgotten due to vast numbers of them. Often times she doesnt have time to get to all of them, but ive saw her signing autographs for hrs and even after a bad race inter-acting with the fans-- but not always as she isnt perfect and we all have bad days. The real or even average fans understand all this and know that she has a job to do with a hectic shedule etc and cant get to everyone, and the other people--well --they get upset, angry, act childish and some post nasty comments on forums.

Take your discontent and jealousy over Danica somewhere else as your only making yourself look foolish with your lame comments over and over regarding her. I'll be happy to post laughter when she has better results then Ryan next yr in Cup and watch you cry and whine about that. Boo HOO
