Danica drives stupid at times even though these short tracks are clearly NOT her thing. Course then there's the decent finsihes of Bristol and Darlington two of the tougher tracks, so whats going on--impatience maybe? Course all the CC & spotter do is push her to be more aggressive and that might not be the thing to do all the time? Oh well--in the grand scheme of things I'll say it, it doesnt matter how she finishes as she draws attention to her sponsors just by showing up. As some Nascar anylists said recently, there are some big name Cup drivers like 5 time J.J. etc who never did well in NNs either and maybe Danicas move to Cup (if she goes--probably) may surprise us once she gets used to the different car? For sure it cant get much worse?
Johanna Long really is impressive at times like tonight for awhile course a friend who is a fan of hers said she is sort of a female version of the young guys like Dillons, Whitt, Blaney, Truex etc, as growing up on dirt tracks and short tracks and she won that snowball derby thing by spinning a Dillon brother apparently, so she definately knows how to race on short tracks. He said she has the stock car background but not the rich family or financial connections to the big teams like other young drivers. It would be interesting to see what she could do in a better car and better team and that will come in time Iam sure? Pastrano was impressively fast also course he is driving a great car from a winning team (in comparison) but as usual he messes up and finishes back in the pack, so not sure what to thing about him, other then of course he is naturally a risk taker, too reckless and too agressive and maybe too aggressive, needs more patience?
